Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 1:05 am

In this tutorial, we’ll learn how to make fairy wings in Photoshop. We’ll be using a few basic Photoshop tools and techniques to create a beautiful set of wings that would be perfect for a fairy or any other magical creature. Let’s get started!

First, we need to create a new document in Photoshop. We’ll make ours 8×10 inches at 300 pixels/inch. Once you have your new document open, create a new layer by clicking on the “Create a new layer” icon at the bottom of the Layers panel.

Next, we’ll grab the Brush tool from the Toolbox. Then, choose a soft, round brush from the brushes palette.

The size of your brush will depend on the size of your document, but ours is set to 100 pixels. Once you have your brush selected, begin painting white onto your new layer.

PRO TIP: This tutorial demonstrates how to make fairy wings in Photoshop. The author suggests using the pen tool to create the wing shape, but offers no warning about the difficulty of this tool. The author also doesn’t mention that the wing shape created will not be symmetrical unless you use the mirror tool.

Now we need to add some texture to our wings. For this, we’ll use a Photoshop filter.

Go to Filter > Noise > Add Noise. In the Add Noise dialogue box, set the Amount to 10% and select Gaussian for the Distribution.

Click OK to apply the noise filter and give your wings some texture.

Conclusion:
With these simple steps, you can easily create beautiful fairy wings in Adobe Photoshop! Have fun experimenting with different brush sizes, filters, and colors to create your own unique wings.
