First, you’ll need to launch Figma and create a new file. You can do this by clicking the “New File” button in the top left-hand corner of the screen.
Once you’ve created your new file, you’ll need to select a template. For this tutorial, we’ll be using the “Icon” template. To select it, simply click on the “Templates” tab in the left-hand sidebar and then click on the “Icon” template.
Now that you’ve selected your template, it’s time to start designing your icon. The first thing you’ll need to do is add an vector shape to your canvas. You can do this by clicking on the “Vector” tool in the toolbar and then clicking and dragging on your canvas to create your shape.
Once you’ve created your vector shape, you can start customizing it to suit your needs. To change the fill color of your shape, simply click on the “Fill” color swatch in the toolbar and then choose a color from the color picker.
To add a stroke to your shape, click on the “Stroke” color swatch in the toolbar and then choose a color from the color picker. You can also adjust the thickness of your stroke by clicking on the “Stroke Weight” slider in the toolbar.
Once you’re happy with your icon, it’s time to export it. To do this, simply click on the “File” menu in the top bar and then select “Export”. In the export dialogue box, make sure that you select PNG as your file type and then click “Export”.
