-A piece of paper
-A sharp object (scissors or a knife)
-Canva

First, take your piece of paper and make a rip in it with your sharp object. The size of the rip is up to you, but keep in mind that the bigger the rip, the more dramatic the effect will be.

PRO TIP: This article contains information about how to create a ripped paper effect in Canva. However, it is important to note that this effect can only be achieved if you have a paid Canva account. If you do not have a paid account, you will not be able to access this feature.

Next, open up Canva and upload your ripped paper into the design interface. You can do this by clicking on the “Uploads” icon in the left-hand sidebar and then selecting the “Upload your own images” option.

Once your ripped paper is in Canva, you can add it to your design by dragging and dropping it into place. If you want to reposition the ripped paper, simply click on it and then drag it to where you want it to go.

To change the color of the ripped paper, click on the “Edit” button in the top toolbar and then select the “Change background color” option. This will bring up a color palette that you can use to select a new color for your ripped paper.

Once you’re happy with how your design looks, click on the “Download” button in the top toolbar and select the file format that you want to save your design as. And that’s it! You’ve successfully created a ripped paper effect in Canva!
