There are a few things you can do to make something look like a tattoo in Photoshop. One way is to use the ‘Brush Tool’.
With the ‘Brush Tool’ selected, choose a black or dark grey color. Then, click and hold down the mouse button while dragging the cursor over the area you want to tattoo. The longer you hold down the mouse button, the darker the tattoo will be.
Another way to make a tattoo is to use the ‘Pen Tool’. With the ‘Pen Tool’ selected, click and drag to create a path. Once you have created the path, right-click on it and select ‘Stroke Path’.
In the ‘Stroke Path’ dialog box, select ‘Brush’ from the ‘Tool’ drop-down menu. Again, choose black or dark grey for the color. Click ‘OK’ and the path will be turned into a tattoo.
If you want to add some color to the tattoo, you can do so by creating a new layer and filling it with a color of your choice. Then, change the layer’s ‘Blend Mode’ to ‘Multiply’. This will make the color appear only where there is black or dark grey on the layer below it, giving the impression of a colored tattoo.
