How Do You Merge Shapes in Figma?

Last updated on November 26, 2022 @ 1:48 pm

When you’re working with vector graphics, there are a few different ways to combine shapes in Figma. The most common way is to use the Boolean operation tools. These let you add, subtract, and intersect shapes to create complex geometry.

To use the Boolean operation tools, select the two shapes you want to combine. Then click the Add, Subtract, or Intersect button in the toolbar.

You can also use the Pathfinder tool to combine shapes. To use Pathfinder, select the shapes you want to combine and click the Unite, Subtract Front Shape, or Intersect Shape button in the Pathfinder panel.

Finally, you can use the pen tool to draw new shapes that overlap with existing shapes. This can be a quick way to create complex geometry without having to use the Boolean operation or Pathfinder tools.

The easiest way to style text in HTML is to use the < p >, < b >, and < u > tags. The < p > tag defines a paragraph, the < b > tag defines bold text, and the < u > tag defines underlined text.

To style text using these tags, simply add them to your HTML code around the text you want to style. For example, if you wanted to create a paragraph with bold and underlined text, you would write:

This is some bold and underlined text

PRO TIP: Please be aware that merging shapes in Figma can be a complex process, and may not always produce the desired results. If you are unsure about how to merge shapes, or are not confident in your ability to do so, it is recommended that you seek help from a professional.
