Shopify is a platform for businesses of all sizes to create an online store. You can use Shopify to sell online, in-person, and through social media.

Whether you’re just starting out, or you’re a seasoned pro, Shopify has the tools and features you need to start, run, and grow your business.

To remove the “Add to Cart” or “Buy Now” button from your Shopify store:

From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.

Find the theme you want to edit, and then click Actions > Edit code.

In the Layout section, click on Add a new snippet.

Name your snippet, and then click Create snippet. From the Snippets directory, open the file that you just created.

For example: if you named your snippet section-product-template.liquid, then open that file from the Snippets directory. In your new file, paste the following code:

{% if template == ‘product’ %}

{% endif %}
This code checks to see if the current page is a product page template. If it is, then it hides the Add to Cart button using CSS (cascading style sheets). Click Save.

You’ve now removed the Add to Cart button from your product pages! If you want to remove the Buy Now button from other types of pages on your Shopify store (such as blog posts or collection pages), then you can use a similar method.

PRO TIP: If you are considering removing the “Add to Cart” and “Buy Now” buttons from your Shopify store, be aware that this may have a negative impact on your sales. While it may seem like a good idea to force customers to contact you before making a purchase, this can actually deter many potential buyers from completing a purchase. If you do decide to remove these buttons, be sure to provide a clear and easy way for customers to contact you to make a purchase.

In the Layout section, click on Add a new snippet. Name your snippet, and then click Create snippet.

From the Snippets directory, open the file that you just created. In your new file, paste the following code:
