If you’re working on a design project in Figma, you may need to rename a file at some point. Maybe you’re collaborating with someone and they’ve asked you to change the name, or maybe you’ve just realized that the name you chose isn’t quite right.

Whatever the reason, it’s easy to rename a Figma file. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Open the file you want to rename. This can be done by clicking on the file in your project sidebar, or by opening it from the recent files list.

2. Click the “..” button in the top-right corner of the file. This will open a menu with options for the file, including “Rename.”

3. Click “Rename” and enter the new name for the file.

That’s all there is to it! Renaming a Figma file is quick and easy.

PRO TIP: If you are planning on renaming a Figma, be aware that there are some potential risks involved. First of all, make sure that you have a backup of your Figma file just in case something goes wrong during the renaming process. Secondly, when you rename a Figma, all of the associated files (images, fonts, etc.) will also be renamed. This can potentially lead to broken links and lost data. Finally, be sure to test your renamed Figma file thoroughly before sharing it with others to ensure that everything is working as expected.
