How Do You Reset Orders on Shopify?

Last updated on January 13, 2023 @ 3:52 am

If you’re a Shopify merchant, you may need to know how to reset orders. This can be done for a number of reasons, such as if you accidentally delete an order or if you need to change the order status.

Whatever the reason, resetting orders is a relatively simple process. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Log in to your Shopify account and go to the Orders tab.
  2. Click on the order that you want to reset.
  3. Click on the More actions drop-down menu and select Reset.
  4. A pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm that you want to reset the order. Click on the Reset order button.

Note: Once an order has been reset, it cannot be undone. So, be sure that you really want to reset the order before you confirm it.

PRO TIP: If you are considering resetting your Shopify orders, be aware that this will permanently delete all order data from your store. This cannot be undone, so please be absolutely sure that you want to proceed before taking any action.
