How Do You Resize a Frame in Figma With Content?

Last updated on November 25, 2022 @ 5:57 pm

When you’re working in Figma, there are a few different ways that you can resize a frame. The first way is to simply click and drag the edges of the frame.

This is the most straightforward way to resize a frame, but it can be a bit imprecise. If you want to be more precise with your resizing, you can use the “Size” panel.

To access the “Size” panel, simply select the frame that you want to resize and then click on the “Size” tab in the Inspector panel. From here, you can enter in specific values for the width and height of the frame. You can also use the “Constrain Proportions” checkbox to make sure that your frame doesn’t get distorted as you’re resizing it.

Once you’ve got your frame resized the way that you want it, you can start adding content to it. The easiest way to do this is to simply click and drag elements from the Library panel into your frame. You can also use the “Paste” command (Ctrl/Cmd+V) to paste content into your frame from another source.

When you’re adding content to your frame, you’ll probably want to resize it again to fit everything in. To do this, simply select all of the elements in your frame and then click and drag one of the edges.

All of the elements in your frame will be resized at once. Alternatively, you can use the “Align” commands in the Inspector panel to quickly resize and align your elements.

Once you’ve got your content added and sized properly, you can start styling it using Figma’s powerful text editor. To access the text editor, simply double-click on any text element in your design.

From here, you can change the font family, size, color, and other attributes of your text. You can also use Figma’s built-in typography styles to quickly apply consistent text styles throughout your design.

Resizing a frame in Figma is easy – just click and drag!

When working in Figma, there are a few different ways that users can resize a frame.

The first way is probably the most well known – simply click and drag on the edges of said frame.

PRO TIP: If you are not familiar with Figma, we recommend that you do not attempt to resize a frame with content. Doing so could result in the content being misplaced or distorted.

However, this method isn’t always perfect for everyone as it can be imprecise.

For those who want something a little more accurate, though, there’s always option two: go into Size mode.

To access Size mode, select saidframe then head over to tab two in Inspector mode – easy as that!

From here, users have various different options such as being able to type in precise measurements for both width and height.
