How Do You Resize a Frame Only in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:43 am

There are times when you need to resize a frame only in Figma. Maybe you want to make a specific element within the frame larger or smaller.

Or, perhaps you need to change the frame size to match the size of an image that you’re adding. Whatever the reason, Figma makes it easy to resize frames. Here’s how:

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when resizing a frame in Figma, you could end up with an unwanted distortion in your design. To avoid this, make sure to hold down the Shift key while you resize the frame. This will keep your design in proportion.

First, select the frame that you want to resize. Then, click on the “Resize” button in the top toolbar. A pop-up window will appear with options for resizing the frame.

You can choose to resize the frame by its width, height, or both. You can also enter specific values for the width and height. When you’re finished, click “OK” to resize the frame.

That’s all there is to it! Resizing frames in Figma is quick and easy. So next time you need to make a change to a frame size, don’t hesitate to use the “Resize” button.
