Last updated on April 9, 2023 @ 10:40 am

There is one simple way to skew letters in Figma: the SkewDat Plugin.

To skew letters using the SkewDat Plugin, select the layer containing the text you want to skew, then go to the top menu and open the Resources menu.

Select the Plugins tab and search for the “SkewDat Plugin.” In the results section, hover your mouse over the SkewDat Plugin and click on the “Run” button that will appear on the right side.

In the running SkewDat Plugin window, you can use the two sliders to adjust the skew either in a horizontal or a vertical direction.

Simply click and drag on the handle of the horizontal slider if you want to skew the letters horizontally.

On the other hand, you can use the vertical slider to skew the text vertically.

Once done, click the “Apply” button to save your changes to the text.

NOTE: You can also use the Reset button to undo all the changes made to your text and return to the original one.

And there you have it! You are now able to skew letters in Figma!

PRO TIP: Skewing letters in Figma can be tricky and may make your text look distorted. Be sure to use the SkewDat Plugin in skewing your letters and carefully adjust the angle of your text.

Conclusion:

The SkewDat Plugin is best for skewing single letters or groups of letters in Figma. It can also be used for skewing entire words or paragraphs. Whichever method you choose, skewing text in Figma is easy and can add a unique touch to your designs.
