How Do You Swap People in Photoshop?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 12:41 pm

There are a few different ways that you can go about swapping people in Photoshop, and the method that you use will depend on the image that you are working with and the level of difficulty that you are comfortable with. If you have two images of the same scene with different people in it, then the easiest way to swap the people is to use the Clone Stamp tool.

Simply select the Clone Stamp tool from the toolbar, and then click on an area of the image that you want to copy. Next, click on the area of the image where you want to paste the copied pixels, and then release the mouse button. The copied pixels will be pasted into place, and you can use the Clone Stamp tool to blend them in with the surrounding pixels.

If you only have one image of the scene, or if the two images are not exactly alike, then you will need to use a more advanced technique. One way to do this is to use the Pen tool to create a mask around the person that you want to swap out.

Once you have created a mask, you can use the Clone Stamp tool to copy pixels from another image and paste them into place on your masked image. You can then adjust the opacity of your masked layer to blend in the new pixels with the surrounding pixels.

Another way to swap people in Photoshop is to use the Liquify filter. This filter can be used to push and pull pixels around, which means that you can use it to rearrange features on a person’s face.

For example, if you want to swap someone’s nose with someone else’s mouth, you can use the Liquify filter to do so. Simply select the area that you want to modify with the Liquify tool, and then push and pull on the pixels until they are in place. You can then use the other tools in Liquify to further refine your results.

No matter which method you choose, swapping people in Photoshop is a relatively easy task that anyone can do with a little practice. So go ahead and give it a try!
