How Do You Ungroup Components in Figma?

When you’re working on a design in Figma, sometimes you need to make changes to a group of objects at once. To do this, you can ungroup the objects. This article will show you how to ungroup components in Figma.

If you have a group of objects that you want to modify individually, you can ungroup them. To ungroup objects:

  • Select the group of objects that you want to ungroup.
  • Click the Ungroup button in the toolbar.

You can also ungroup objects by right-clicking (Windows) or Control-clicking (macOS) the group, and then choosing Ungroup from the menu.

Note: You can only ungroup objects that were originally grouped together. For example, you cannot ungroup a rectangle and a line.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful when ungrouping components in Figma, you can end up with a lot of extra groups and subgroups that you may not want or need. Be sure to select the top-level group that you want to ungroup, and then use the “Ungroup” command from the menu. Otherwise, you may end up with a lot of extra work to do to clean up your file.

How Do You Ungroup Components in Figma?
