Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool – the first interface design tool with real-time collaboration. It’s built using web technologies, which means it runs in the browser. And because it runs in the browser, it’s available on any platform: macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Figma is simple and easy to use. You can create vector graphics from scratch or upload existing ones.
You can then add interactivity and animation to your designs using the built-in prototyping tools. And because Figma is cloud-based, you can share your designs with others and collaborate in real-time.
Figma plugins are small pieces of code that extend the functionality of Figma. They can be used to automate tasks, add new features, or just make your workflow more efficient. There are two types of Figma plugins:
- Official plugins: These are developed and supported by Figma. They are available in the Figma plugin directory.
- Community plugins: These are developed by the community and are not supported by Figma. They are available in the Figma Community directory.
To install a plugin, simply click on the “Install” button in the plugin directory. Once installed, the plugin will be available in your “Plugins” menu.
To use a plugin, simply select it from the “Plugins” menu. Some plugins will have configuration options that you can access from the “Plugin” menu. Others will just run automatically.
