How Do You Use Flows in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:51 am

In Figma, a Flow is a line that shows the relationship between two objects. You can use flows to show the flow of information between objects, or the order in which objects are arranged.

To add a Flow:

1. Select the object you want to start the Flow from. 2.

Click the Add Flow button in the Inspector (on the right). 3. Drag the Flow to the object you want it to end at.

PRO TIP: There are a few potential dangers when using flows in Figma – if not used correctly, they can result in messier, more complicated prototypes. Additionally, it’s easy to accidentally create loops when using flows, which can cause confusion and frustration. Use caution when working with flows in Figma, and be sure to test your prototypes thoroughly before sharing them!

You can also add a Flow by selecting two objects and clicking the Add Flow button in the Inspector.

Flows are useful for showing relationships between objects, or for showing the order in which objects are arranged. For example, you could use a Flow to show how data flows from one object to another, or how a user interface is arranged.
