PRO TIP: The Dodge tool in Photoshop can be used to lighten or darken areas of an image. When using this tool, it is important to be careful not to overdo it, as this can result in an unnatural-looking image.

You can also use the dodge tool to fix overexposed areas of an image. Simply select the area you want to fix and then drag the dodge tool over it. The area will lighten, making it match the rest of the image better.

If you want to lighten an entire image, you can do so by selecting the dodge tool and then clicking on the “Range” option in the options bar. Select “ Highlights” from the drop-down menu and then drag the “Exposure” slider to the right until you’re happy with the results. Keep in mind that this will lighten all highlights in your image, so use it sparingly.
