How Do You View a Mirror in Figma?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 12:53 am

There’s no denying that Figma is a powerful design tool. But one of its lesser known features is the ability to view a mirror of your design in the interface.

This can be extremely useful for making sure your designs are pixel-perfect, or for seeing how your designs look on different devices. Here’s how to view a mirror of your design in Figma:

To view a mirror of your design, first select the artboard or frame that you want to view. Then, click the “View” menu at the top of the screen and select “Mirror”.

PRO TIP: If you are working on a design in Figma and need to view a mirror of your work, be aware that there is currently a bug that causes the mirror to appear upside down. This can be confusing and frustrating, so be sure to save your work often and check the preview before sharing with others.

This will open up a new window with a live mirror of your design. You can resize this window to fit your needs, and you can even change the background color if you want to see how your design looks on a different device.

If you’re working on a responsive design, you can even use the mirror feature to see how your design looks on different screen sizes. To do this, simply click the “View” menu and select “Responsive Layout”.

This will open up a new window with a live preview of your design on different screen sizes. You can use the slider at the top of the window to change the size of the preview, and you can even click the “Preview” button to see how your design looks on different devices.

The mirror feature in Figma is an extremely useful tool for designers. It’s perfect for making sure your designs are pixel-perfect, and it’s also great for seeing how your designs look on different devices. So next time you’re working on a design in Figma, be sure to give the mirror feature a try!
