How Does Payment Work on Squarespace?

When you create a Squarespace site, you can choose to use our Payment Platform to accept payments for products and services. Note: The Payment Platform is available for Commerce sites on the Personal, Business, and Basic Commerce plans.

There are no setup, monthly, or hidden fees. You only pay a transaction fee of 3% + $0.30 per successful sale made through a Squarespace site. For example, if you sell an item for $100, you’ll pay $(100 x 0.03) + $0.30 = $3.30 in transaction fees.

If you’re using the Payment Platform to sell products and services in multiple currencies, we charge a 1% fee on top of the standard transaction fee (4% + $0.30 per successful sale). For example, if you sell an item for €100, you’ll pay €(100 x 0.04) + €0.30 = €4.

We also offer advanced features like automatic tax calculations, coupon codes, and abandoned cart recovery (additional fees may apply).
