How Does PayPal Work With WooCommerce?

PayPal is a payment processor that WooCommerce uses to accept credit card and PayPal payments. When you set up your WooCommerce store, you can choose to use PayPal as your payment processor.

If you choose to use PayPal, you will need to create a PayPal account and then link it to your WooCommerce store. To do this, you will need to enter your PayPal email address in the WooCommerce settings. Once you have done this, your customers will be able to choose PayPal as their payment method at checkout.

PayPal offers two different ways to pay for goods and services online:

  • PayPal Credit: This is a line of credit that customers can use to pay for their purchases over time. Customers can apply for PayPal Credit through their PayPal account.
  • PayP: This is a service that allows customers to send payments directly from their bank account to your WooCommerce store. Customers will need to have a PayPal account to use this service.

Once you have set up your WooCommerce store to accept PayPal payments, your customers will be able to choose PayPal as their payment method at checkout. If they choose PayPal Credit, they will be able to pay for their purchases over time. If they choose PayP, they will be able to send payments directly from their bank account to your WooCommerce store.

PRO TIP: PayPal offers many features for WooCommerce store owners, but it is important to be aware of how it works before using it. PayPal can hold payments for up to 180 days, and if a customer disputes a charge, the funds can be frozen during the investigation. Additionally, PayPal’s fees can be high, so it’s important to factor that into your pricing.
