How does Python read files from Google Cloud Storage?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 8:25 pm

Python can read files from Google Cloud Storage by using the gcs.storage.googleapi.FileReader class. This class can be used to read files from the storage bucket, file system, or object store. The class has a number of methods that allow you to read files sequentially or in bulk.

PRO TIP: Python read files from Google Cloud Storage is a great way to store and share data. However, be warned that if you are not careful, you may accidentally give others access to your data. Make sure that you understand the security settings for your account before using this feature.

You can also use the class to read files that have been compressed using the gcs.CompressionHandler class.
