Once you initiate the transfer process, it can take up to 14 days for the transfer to complete. This is because when you move a domain to another registrar, that registrar has to first verify that you’re the owner of the domain. Once the registrar confirms your ownership, they will start the transfer process.

What do I need to do to prepare for my Wix domain transfer?

Before initiating the transfer process, there are a few things you need to do:

1. Check if your domain is eligible for transfer
To be eligible for transfer, your domain must:
– Be registered with Wix for at least 60 days
– Have a valid registration period of one year or more
– Not be within 30 days of expiration
– Not have any pending changes (such as renewals or transfers)

If your domain meets all of the requirements above, you can start the transfer process in your Wix account. If your domain doesn’t meet these requirements, you won’t be able to initiate the transfer. In this case, you can renew your domain for another year and then initiate the transfer process. 2.

Unlock your domain
In order for yourdomain name to be transferred away from Wix, you first need to unlock it. To do this, log in to your Wix account and go to the Domains page. Once your domain is unlocked, click Save at the top of the page.

To get your authorization code:
– Log in to your Wix account and go to the Domains page. – Next to yourdomain name, click More and then select Domain Settings from the drop-down menu. – Scroll down to Security and click Get Auth Code.
