In May 2014, Canva raised $3 million in Series A funding led by Sequoia China. In January 2015, Canva raised $15 million in Series B funding from Felicis Ventures, Matrix Partners and Blackbird Ventures.

In August 2015, Canva raised $27 million in Series C funding from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers. As of March 2016, Canva has raised a total of $46 million in venture capital funding.
