As a business owner, you need to have a website. It’s 2019, and customers expect to be able to find you online.
But what does that mean for you? How much should you charge to make a website?
Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.
There are a lot of factors that go into how much you should charge to make a website. The first is the size of the website. A smaller website with just a few pages will cost less than a larger website with dozens or even hundreds of pages.
The second factor is the complexity of the website. A simple website with just text and images will cost less than a more complex website with features like e-commerce, forums, or membership areas.
The third factor is the amount of time it will take to make the website. If you already have all of the content and images ready to go, it will take less time (and therefore cost less) than if you need to create everything from scratch.
Finally, the fourth factor is how much experience you have in making websites. If you’re just starting out, it will take longer (and thus cost more) than if you’re a seasoned web developer.
How Much Should You Charge?
Here are some general guidelines for how much to charge:
– If you’re just starting out, charge $50-$100 per hour.
– If you have some experience, charge $75-$150 per hour.
– If you’re a seasoned web developer, charge $100-$200 per hour.
