How to Update Photoshop?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 8:59 pm

Adobe Photoshop is a widely used program for crafting layouts, graphics, logos, and photos. As with any software program, it’s important to keep Photoshop up to date in order to take advantage of the latest features and bug fixes. Here are some tips on how to update Photoshop:

1. Check for updates regularly

You can check for updates manually by choosing Help > Check for Updates from the menu bar in Photoshop.

Adobe also releases updates automatically through its Creative Cloud desktop application, so you may not need to do this step if you have that installed. If there are any updates available, they will be listed in the Creative Cloud app.

2. Update through the Creative Cloud app

If there are updates available for Photoshop (or any other Creative Cloud apps), you’ll see a blue “U” next to the app’s name in the Creative Cloud app.

To install the update, simply click on the app and then click “Update.” The update will download and install automatically.

3. Update through Adobe Application Manager

If you don’t have the Creative Cloud desktop app installed, you can update Photoshop (and other Adobe apps) through the Adobe Application Manager. To do this, launch the Adobe Application Manager from your applications folder (or Start menu on Windows).

Select “Updates” from the list of options on the left-hand side. Any available updates will be listed here; simply select Photoshop and click “Update.

Conclusion:

Updating Photoshop is important to get new features and bug fixes. You can update Photoshop through the Creative Cloud desktop application, Adobe Application Manager, or by checking for updates manually in the program.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, updating Photoshop can cause problems. Make sure you have a backup of your Photoshop files before updating.
