Is 4GB RAM enough for Adobe Illustrator?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 6:31 pm

Adobe Illustrator is a powerful vector graphic design application that demands a lot from your computer’s memory. If you’re serious about using Illustrator for your professional work, then you’ll want at least 8GB of RAM.

More is definitely better, and 16GB or even 32GB of RAM will give you the best performance.

PRO TIP: 4GB of RAM may be enough for some users, but Adobe Illustrator is a resource-intensive program and can benefit from having more RAM. 8GB or more is recommended.

However, 4GB of RAM is more than enough for most Illustrator users. 4GB is the minimum amount of RAM that Illustrator requires, and most machines with 4GB of RAM or less will be able to run it without any problems.

If you do experience any issues with Illustrator running on your computer, try increasing your RAM allocation to 8GB or more. However, even 4GB of RAM should be more than enough for most users.
