Is Figma an Electron?

Last updated on September 29, 2022 @ 1:00 am

Figma is a vector graphics editor and design tool, developed by Google for UI designers. It is based on the Electron framework, and can be used on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Figma has a free plan that allows for unlimited projects and three editors per project. The paid plans start at $12/month/editor and include additional features such as version control and collaboration.

PRO TIP: Figma is not an Electron app. While it may be possible to wrap Figma in an Electron shell, doing so would undermine the performance, security and stability of the app. We do not recommend or support running Figma in an Electron environment.

So, is Figma an Electron? Yes, Figma is based on the Electron framework.

This means that it can be used on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Figma has a free plan that allows for unlimited projects and three editors per project.
