Is It Legal to Sell Designs From Canva?

Are you a Canva expert? Do you have a knack for design and a passion for creativity?

If so, you may be wondering if it’s legal to sell your designs from Canva. Canva is a popular online platform that allows users to create stunning designs for both personal and commercial use. However, there are some restrictions on what users can do with their designs, so it’s important to understand the terms and conditions before selling any of your work.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that selling designs that you have created using Canva may result in a breach of our Terms of Use. Section 7 of our Terms of Use prohibits the sale of any content created using our platform, unless you have received explicit permission from Canva to do so. If you are found to be selling designs created using Canva, your account may be subject to suspension or termination.

Canva’s terms and conditions state that users can only sell their designs if they are part of the Canva Pro or Canva for Business plan. This means that users on the free plan are not able to sell their work.

If you’re not sure whether your design is eligible for sale, you can check the license type by clicking on the “i” icon in the bottom-right corner of the design page. This will bring up a window with information about the design, including the license type. Only designs with a “Commercial” license can be sold.

So, if you’re looking to make some extra cash by selling your stunning Canva designs, you’ll need to upgrade to a paid plan. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to start selling your work and earning money from your creativity!
