Last updated on September 30, 2022 @ 10:47 am

Wix is a website builder that has been around since 2006. It is a Drag and Drop platform that allows users to create websites without having to code.

Wix has over 110 million users in 190 countries.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

While Wix is a great platform for those who are not familiar with code, it does have its drawbacks. One of those is its price.

Wix is one of the more expensive website builders on the market.

PRO TIP: Please be aware that the article ‘Is Wix Overpriced?’ may contain opinions that are not representative of the general public. The author may be biased and their views may not be objective.

While its prices start at $11 per month, that only gets you a basic website with limited features. To get access to all of Wix’s features, you need to sign up for their “Combo” plan, which costs $17 per month.

And if you want to remove Wix ads from your website, you need to sign up for their “Business & eCommerce” plan, which costs $23 per month.

On top of that, if you want to use your own domain name (which you should), you need to pay an annual fee of $14.95. So, if you want to use Wix for a year and have your own domain name, you’re looking at paying $213.40. That’s almost double what you would pay for a self-hosted WordPress website (which we’ll get into later).

In conclusion, while Wix is a great platform for those who are not familiar with code, its price is one of the more expensive website builders on the market which could be a drawback for some people.
