What are the three types of AWS load balancers?

Last updated on September 25, 2022 @ 5:27 pm

AWS load balancers are three different types:

1. EC2 ELB: This is the least expensive option and it can handle small to medium traffic loads.

2. EC2 Load Balancer: This is the most expensive option and it can handle large traffic loads.

3. AWS Application Load Balancer: This is a hybrid option that can handle both small and large traffic loads.

PRO TIP: The three types of AWS load balancers are: application, network, and gateway.

Application load balancers are used to route traffic to web applications. Network load balancers are used to route traffic to network applications. Gateway load balancers are used to route traffic to gateway applications.

You should use the appropriate type of load balancer for your application. Using the wrong type of load balancer can result in poor performance or even downtime.
