If you’re a fan of shortcut keys, then you’ll be pleased to know that there is a keyboard shortcut for the Undo command in Photoshop. It’s CTRL+Shift+T (Mac: Command+Shift+T). This shortcut will undo your last step, or action, and is especially useful if you accidentally close a file or make some other type of mistake.

PRO TIP: This article discusses the use of the CTRL Shift T keyboard shortcut in Photoshop. The shortcut can be used to open the Transform tool, but it can also be used to open the Layer Transform tool. If you accidentally press CTRL Shift T while working in Photoshop, you may inadvertently open the Layer Transform tool, which can cause unexpected results.

If you’re working on a complex project with multiple layers, then you may find yourself using the Undo command quite frequently. The good news is that the CTRL+Shift+T shortcut can be used over and over again to undo multiple steps. Just keep pressing the keys and Photoshop will keep going back in time until you reach the point where you want to be.

One final tip: if you ever find yourself in a situation where you’ve made too many changes and you can’t remember what they all were, then simply press CTRL+Alt+Z (Mac: Command+Option+Z) to bring up the History panel. From here you can see a list of all the steps you’ve taken and easily revert back to a previous state.
