What does Invites Sent mean on UpWork?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 9:09 pm

When you create a project on UpWork, you will see a list of potential clients who have requested access to your project. The number in parentheses after the client’s name is the number of invites sent to them.

This metric is updated every time a new client requests access to your project, and it will be reset to 0 if the client unsubscribes from your project. .

What this means is that the number of invites sent is a good indicator of how popular your project is. If your project has been requested by a lot of people, then it is likely that you have a good idea or something valuable to offer.

PRO TIP: If you see the “Invites Sent” status on a job posting, it means that the client has already sent out invitations to contractors and is no longer accepting applications.

Conversely, if your project has been requested by few people, then it is likely that your project is not worth investing time into.

The best way to determine whether or not your project is worth investing time into is to look at the number of invites sent and compare it to the number of responses received. If the number of invites sent is a lot higher than the number of responses received, then it is likely that your project is worth investing time into.

If the number of invites sent is lower than the number of responses received, then it is likely that your project is not worth investing time into.
