What Files Can Figma Import?

When it comes to importing files into Figma, there are a few different formats that you can use. The most common file formats that people use are .ai, .svg, and .png.

However, there are other file formats that can be used as well. Here is a list of some of the other file formats that can be imported into Figma:

.ai: Adobe Illustrator files can be imported into Figma. This is a popular format for vector graphics.

To import an .ai file, you will need to have the Adobe Illustrator program installed on your computer. Once you have Adobe Illustrator installed, you can open the .ai file in Figma by going to File > Open in the top menu bar.

.svg: Scalable Vector Graphics files can also be imported into Figma.svg file, you will need to have a program that can open SVG files installed on your computer. Once you have a program that can open SVG files, you can open the .svg file in Figma by going to File > Open in the top menu bar.png: Portable Network Graphics files can be imported into Figma as well. This is a popular format for images. To import a .png file, you can go to File > Open in the top menu bar and select the .png file that you want to import.

What Files Can Figma Import?

Figma can import Adobe Illustrator (.ai), Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg), and Portable Network Graphics (.png) files.

PRO TIP: When importing files into Figma, be aware that not all file types are compatible. In particular, Figma does not support importing Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator files. If you try to import a file of this type, you will receive an error message.
