What Happened to Content Aware in Photoshop?

In the early days of Photoshop, the Content-Aware feature was a godsend. It allowed users to quickly and easily remove objects from photos, with the program automatically filling in the gaps.

However, over time, users began to abuse the feature, resulting in some bizarre-looking images. In response, Adobe began making changes to Content-Aware, making it less effective and more difficult to use. As a result, many users have abandoned the feature altogether.

So what happened to Content-Aware? Adobe has been slowly but surely making it less effective and more difficult to use.
