Cancelling an UpWork contract is not as simple as simply clicking the “Cancel” button. In fact, there are a few steps involved before you can get your money back.

First, you’ll need to notify UpWork of your decision to cancel. This can be done by logging in to your account and clicking on the “My Contracts” tab.

Then, click on the contract you want to cancel and select the “Cancel” button.

PRO TIP: If you cancel an Upwork contract, your account may be suspended.

Second, you’ll need to provide a reason for your cancellation. This can be anything from not being able to meet the deadlines to a change of heart.

UpWork will then review your cancellation and decide whether or not to refund you.

Finally, you’ll need to wait for UpWork to complete their review and process your cancellation. This can take up to two weeks, but in most cases it will be a much shorter process.

So, what happens if you cancel an UpWork contract? In most cases, you’ll be able to get your money back. However, it can take up to two weeks for UpWork to process your cancellation, so be patient.
