If you have a Wix site and you want to transfer ownership to someone else, there are a few things you need to do. First, you need to export your site’s data.

You can do this by going to the Wix Editor and clicking on “Site” in the left-hand menu. Then, click on “Export Site.”

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

Once you have exported your site’s data, you need to create a new user account for the new owner. To do this, go to wix.com and click on “Sign In” in the top-right corner. Then, click on “Create an Account.”

Fill out the form and click on “Create Account.” Once the new account has been created, log into it and go to wix.com/html5/editor. Click on “Import Site” in the left-hand menu and upload the file you exported from your old account.

The last thing you need to do is transfer your domain name. To do this, log into your old account and go to the “My Domains” page.

Select the domain you want to transfer and click on the “Transfer Domain” button. Enter the new owner’s email address and click on “Transfer Domain.” The new owner will then receive an email with instructions on how to accept the transfer.

That’s it! Once you’ve followed these steps, your Wix site will have been successfully transferred to a new owner.

PRO TIP: When you transfer ownership of a Wix site, the new owner will have full access to the site’s content and settings. They will also be able to delete the site or change its URL.
