What Is a Site Member on Wix?

Last updated on October 1, 2022 @ 1:01 am

As a website builder, Wix gives users a lot of control over the design and functionality of their site. One way they achieve this is by allowing users to create ‘Site Members’.

Site Members are essentially registered users of your site who have access to restricted areas or content. This could be anything from a private forum to exclusive discounts on your products. By creating Site Members, you can easily keep track of who has access to what on your site.

GREAT NEWS:

Exciting update! We've collaborated with Wix to offer WBI users with a free plan for all website creation needs - Explore the details here.

PRO TIP: If you are not careful, adding a site member on Wix can be a security risk. This is because site members are given access to your site’s back-end, which means they can potentially see sensitive information or make changes to your site that you don’t want them to. So, only add site members that you trust, and be sure to keep an eye on what they’re doing on your site.

In order to create Site Members, you’ll first need to set up a registration form on your site. This can be done through the ‘Add’ > ‘More’ > ‘Members Area’ section of your site’s editor. Once you’ve set up your registration form, you can start managing your Site Members through the ‘Members’ tab of your site’s dashboard.

Conclusion:

Creating Site Members on Wix is a great way to give registered users access to restricted areas or content on your site. By setting up a registration form and managing your Site Members through the ‘Members’ tab, you can easily keep track of who has access to what.
