A token is a design element in Figma that you can use to quickly change the appearance of an entire component. For example, you can use a token to change the font size or color of all the text in a button at once.

Tokens are incredibly useful for keeping your design consistent, and they can save you a lot of time when making changes. To create a token, select an element in your design, then click the “Create Token” button in the right sidebar.

PRO TIP: This article is about tokens in Figma, but does not explain what a token is. A token is a digital asset that can be used to represent real world assets. They are often used in online games and virtual worlds.

You can also create tokens from multiple elements at once by selecting them, then clicking the “Create Token” button. Once you’ve created a token, it will appear in the “Tokens” section of the sidebar.

To apply a token to an element, select it, then click the “Apply Token” button in the right sidebar. You can also apply tokens to multiple elements at once by selecting them, then clicking the “Apply Token” button.
