An archive page is a special type of WooCommerce page that displays all your products in one place. It’s the perfect way to showcase your entire product line, and let customers browse and purchase whatever they like.
There are two types of archive pages in WooCommerce: product archive pages and shop archive pages.
Product archive pages display all the products in your WooCommerce store. Customers can use the filters to narrow down their search, and then sort the products by price, popularity, or rating.
Shop archive pages are a little different. They only display products from a certain category or tag. So if you have a clothing store, for example, you might have a shop archive page for dresses, another for shirts, and another for pants.
The advantage of having both types of archive pages is that it gives customers more options for finding the products they’re looking for. If they’re not sure what they want, they can browse the product archive page to get some ideas. But if they know exactly what they’re looking for, they can go straight to the shop archive page and find it faster.
To set up your archive pages, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Display. From there, you can choose which type of products you want to display on your product archive page, and how many products you want to show per page. You can also choose whether to show ratings, prices, add-to-cart buttons, and other information on the product archive page.
For shop archive pages, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Taxonomies. From there, you can choose which taxonomies (categories or tags) you want to display on your shop archive pages. You can also choose how many products you want to show per page.
Once you’ve set up your archive pages, don’t forget to add them to your navigation menu so customers can find them easily. To do that, go to Appearance > Menus and add the links to your product and shop archive pages under the “Products” menu item.
