PCF stands for Persistent Volume Claim. It is a resource type in Azure that allows you to create a claim on a specific volume in an Azure storage account. When you create a PCF, you can specify the size of the volume and the number of hours for which you want the claim to be valid. You can also specify a snapshot schedule for the volume.

PRO TIP: PCF on Azure is a Platform as a Service (PaaS) offering that enables developers to build, deploy, and scale their cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure.

PCF on Azure is currently in public preview. As such, it is not supported for production workloads. There are a number of known issues and limitations with the service that could impact your application’s availability and performance.

Before using PCF on Azure, please review the current list of known issues and limitations.

When you create a PCF, you can use it to create a persistent volume that can store data for a specific duration. You can also use a PCF to create a container for your applications. A PCF can be used to store any type of data.
