What Is RSS Feed on Weebly?

Last updated on December 31, 2022 @ 5:39 am

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. Many news-related sites, weblogs and other online publishers syndicate their content as an RSS Feed to whoever wants it.

An RSS document (called “feed”, “web feed”, or “channel”) includes full or summarized text, and metadata like publishing dates, authorship, and copyright information. Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically. They benefit readers who want to subscribe to timely updates from favored websites or to aggregate feeds from many sites into one place.

Most web feeds are available free of charge to the public. Websites generate and publish web feeds, in order to share their content with interested parties. When a site publishes a new article or post, a user can subscribe to be notified of the update by subscribing to the site’s RSS feed.
