What is a Shipping Zone in WooCommerce?

A shipping zone is a group of locations that you ship to, and the shipping methods that are available to customers in those locations. By default, WooCommerce offers two shipping zones: Rest of World and your home country.

PRO TIP: When setting up your WooCommerce store, you will be asked to select a default shipping zone. This is the geographic area to which you will ship your products. You can also set up additional shipping zones if you need to ship to multiple locations.

Be sure to carefully consider your shipping zones before setting up your WooCommerce store. This is a important decision that can impact your business in a number of ways.

If you want to offer different shipping rates or shipping methods to different parts of the world, you can set up multiple shipping zones and add the relevant countries to each one. For example, you could create a Europe shipping zone and add all the countries in Europe to it. Or, you could create a North America shipping zone and add the United States, Canada, and Mexico to it.

Once you’ve created your shipping zones, you can add one or more shipping methods to each zone. For example, you could offer free shipping to your home country, and flat rate shipping to the rest of the world. Or, you could offer UPS Ground shipping to North America, and FedEx International Economy to Europe.

Shipping zones give you complete control over your WooCommerce shipping options, and they make it easy to offer different rates and methods to different parts of the world.
