There are a few different factors to consider when it comes to the size of a Canva card. The first is the desired final product. Do you want a physical print out of your card, or will it only be viewable online
The second is the format or template that you select. Some templates are designed for specific print sizes, while others are more versatile. And finally, the number of elements and amount of text on your card will also affect its size.
When creating a print-ready design, the standard card size is 3.5 inches by 2 inches. However, some templates may have different dimensions, so be sure to check before beginning your design. For example, our Die-Cut Business Cards have a finished size of 3.58 inches by 2.36 inches.
If you’re making an online only card, then you have a bit more flexibility with sizing. A good rule of thumb is to make your card around twice the width of a standard business card, or 700 pixels by 400 pixels. This will ensure that your card looks great on any screen size and is still large enough to be easily viewable.
No matter what size you choose for your Canva card, remember to leave enough room for bleed if you’re printing your design. This means adding 0.125 inches (3mm) of extra space around the edge of your design so that when it’s trimmed down to size there’s no white border around the edge of your card.
