What size should a logo be in Illustrator?

Logos are one of the most important aspects of a brand. They can give your business a recognizable look, and help to promote your products and services.

PRO TIP: When creating a logo in Adobe Illustrator, it is important to consider the desired final usage of the logo. For example, if the logo will be printed on a business card, it would be wise to create the logo at 3.5″ x 2″ at 300 ppi. However, if the logo will be used on a website, then the file can be much smaller since it will be displayed on a computer screen. In general, it is best to create the logo at a large size (at least 8″ x 8″) so that it can be easily edited and scaled down as needed.

There is no single definitive answer to the question of what size a logo should be in Illustrator. Different businesses will have different requirements, and the size of a logo will vary depending on the type of design it is.

To set the size of a logo in illustrator, simply create a new document by going to File > New.

In the New Document window, set both the Width and Height of the document to 8 inches. Once done, click on the “Create” button.

Some logos might be designed to be small and discreet, while others might be larger and more prominent. Ultimately, it is up to the individual designer to decide what size is appropriate for a particular logo.
