What to do if you get scammed on Fiverr?

Last updated on September 24, 2022 @ 9:26 pm

If you’ve ever used the popular online marketplace, Fiverr, you’re likely familiar with the term “scam.” Scammers use the site to sell unverified services or products that may not be what they seem.

In some cases, these services can be dangerous or even illegal.

If you’re ever the victim of a scam, the first thing you need to do is contact Fiverr’s support team. They’ll be able to help you identify the scammer and get your money back.

PRO TIP: If you think you’ve been scammed on Fiverr, we’re here to help. Please report the gig to our Trust & Safety team and we’ll investigate. In the meantime, we recommend that you:

– Do not attempt to contact the seller directly
– Do not give the seller any more money
– Do not provide the seller with any personal information

If you have already paid the seller, please open a dispute in the Resolution Center within 20 days of payment.

If you don’t contact Fiverr’s support team, they may not be able to do anything to help you.

The best way to avoid getting scammed on Fiverr is to be aware of the red flags that indicate a scam. These signs include unverified services or products, high prices, strange requests, and unfulfilled promises.

If you see any of these signs, be sure to avoid the seller and contact Fiverr’s support team.
