What Type of Coding Does Squarespace Use?

Squarespace is a popular website builder that allows users to create and customize their own websites. It is known for its ease of use and its wide range of templates and features.

One of the things that makes Squarespace so user-friendly is the fact that it uses a drag-and-drop interface. This means that you can simply click on an element on your page and then drag it to where you want it to go. You don’t need to know any HTML or CSS to use Squarespace.

PRO TIP: Squarespace uses a proprietary coding system that is not compatible with other website platforms. If you want to use Squarespace to build your website, you will need to use their platform and tools exclusively.

However, if you do want to add your own HTML or CSS code, Squarespace does give you the ability to do so. Simply go to the ‘Code’ tab in your website’s settings and then paste in your code. Squarespace will then apply it to your website.

So, what type of coding does Squarespace use? The answer is: it depends.

If you’re not adding any code of your own, then Squarespace will use its own internal code. However, if you are adding your own HTML or CSS code, then that code will be used on your website.
