oDesk was one of the first online platforms that allowed businesses to find, hire, and manage freelancers. oDesk later rebranded as UpWork.

oDesk was founded in 2003 by Odysseas Tsatalos and Stratis Karamanlakis. The two entrepreneurs saw an opportunity to create an online marketplace that would connect businesses with remote workers.

oDesk was one of the first companies to offer this type of service, and it quickly became a popular platform for businesses looking to hire freelancers.
