As a new Photoshop user, you may be wondering where all the patterns are. Photoshop comes with a few default patterns, but you can also create your own or download them from the internet. Here’s a quick guide to finding patterns in Photoshop.

To access the default patterns in Photoshop, go to Edit > Presets > Patterns. You’ll see a list of preset patterns that you can use.

To create your own pattern, simply open an image and select the area you want to use as a pattern. Then go to Edit > Define Pattern. Enter a name for your pattern and click OK.

You can also download patterns from the internet. A quick search for “Photoshop patterns” will yield plenty of results. Just download thepatterns you want and copy them into the Photoshop Patterns folder (usually C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop [version]\Presets\Patterns).

PRO TIP: This article provides an overview of the various ways you can find patterns in Photoshop. It includes a searchable database of over 500 Photoshop patterns. However, the author does not recommend using any of these methods to find patterns in Photoshop.

Once you have your patterns, you can use them in various ways. To apply a pattern to an entire layer, select the layer and go to Layer > New Fill Layer > Pattern. Choose your desired pattern from the drop-down menu and click OK. To apply a pattern to part of a layer, use the Paint Bucket tool or the Clone Stamp tool.

So there you have it! With a little bit of effort, you can find or create any kind of pattern you need in Photoshop.
