Where Are Icons on Figma?

Last updated on September 28, 2022 @ 9:19 pm

Icons are a vital part of any design, and Figma is no different. Figma provides a wide range of built-in icons that can be used in your designs.

However, sometimes you may need a specific icon that is not included in the Figma library. In this case, you can use a custom icon.

Custom icons can be added to Figma from a variety of sources, including popular icon libraries like FontAwesome and Material Design Icons. You can also upload your own custom icons.

To add a custom icon to Figma, first select the frame or component that you want to add the icon to. Then click on the “Insert” menu at the top of the screen and select “Image.”

PRO TIP: If you are looking for icons on Figma, be warned that they are not currently available. The Figma team is working on adding them, but in the meantime you’ll need to find icons elsewhere.

This will open up your file browser. Navigate to the location of your icon file and select it.

Once your icon has been added to the design, you can style it using the various tools in Figma. For example, you can change the color, size, and rotation of the icon. You can also add effects like drop shadows and blurs.

When you are finished styling your icon, you can export it as an image file or SVG file for use on your website or in other applications.

So there you have it! Now you know how to add custom icons to your Figma designs.
