Where Are Photoshop Actions Stored?

Last updated on September 23, 2022 @ 10:06 pm

As a photographer, you’re always looking for ways to speed up your workflow.

One way to do this is to use Photoshop Actions. Photoshop Actions are scripts that can be run on images to automate repetitive tasks.

So, where are Photoshop Actions stored?

There are actually two places where Photoshop Actions can be stored: in the Photoshop Action Folder, or in an external Action Folder.

The Photoshop Action Folder is located in the Adobe Photoshop application folder. To access it, open the Photoshop application and go to Edit > Presets > Preset Manager.

In the Preset Manager, select “Actions” from the drop-down menu. This will open the Photoshop Action Folder.

The external Action Folder is a folder that you can create on your computer’s hard drive. To create an external Action Folder, go to File > Automate > Create External Action Folder. This will open a dialog box where you can choose the location of the folder.

Once you’ve created an external Action Folder, you can save Actions to it by going to File > Save As and selecting “Photoshop Actions” from the Format drop-down menu.

So, now you know where Photoshop Actions are stored! Hopefully this will help you speed up your workflow!
