As a visual learner myself, I often find myself in search of visuals to help explain things to others or to better understand things myself. This is especially true when it comes to learning new software or trying to figure out how to complete a design project. I’m sure many of you can relate!

When it comes to online design tools, Canva is one of my favorites. Not only is it user-friendly and relatively affordable, but it also has a ton of built-in templates and resources that make design projects a breeze, even for beginners. But where can you find these templates?

The answer is actually pretty simple: right inside Canva! When you create a new design project, you’ll be given the option to choose from a number of different template types. And within each template type, there are usually several sub-categories to choose from.

PRO TIP: If you are looking for templates on Canva, be aware that there are many fake websites that claim to offer Canva templates for free. These websites often contain malware that can harm your computer. only download templates from the official Canva website.

For example, let’s say you’re working on a social media campaign and need some visuals to go along with your posts. You would simply select the “Social Media” template type and then choose from sub-categories like “Facebook Post,” “Instagram Post,” or “Twitter Header.”

Each sub-category contains dozens of ready-to-use templates that you can customize with your own images, text, colors, and more. And if you can’t find exactly what you’re looking for, you can always start from scratch with a blank canvas.
